I've bought a few of these now and have been bringing them back to 'better than new' standard. They're such a rare bike here and such a bloody fantastic bike too. Why we never got them here is a mystery. They're still produced and sell well in USA, Aus and South Africa. Unchanged since 1993....

This one is my personal ride. It's 22 years old now :)

This is my personal bike. I'm currently restoring another Dommie at the moment.

That's will be be ready for sale in 2-3 weeks.

Another nut and bolt rebuild with powder coated frame, new shock, rebuit engine etc

200 hours of work I expect

Nice, I'm looking forward to seeing the pics on the Dommie as well. Wish I had a workshop like that :p

Nice job mate ,I love the oven you got for making a brew and keeping the place warm.
Are they Isle of Man TT review videos on the window ledge?
I like the look of your engine , I sprayed mine black like yours but I took a sanding block to the fins and the letters to make em stand out a bit.

Just a suggestion , not a criticism

And yes, I also sand back the lettering and fins but that picture is an old 'paint still wet' shot'

I've tried that in the past. But in all honesty I found that the edges just start peeling where it's been sanded back. It looks great I know but makes a weakness in the finish. Maybe it's just the paint I'm using. I like to put a lot of layers on with a good oil resistant clear coat. It's makes it a bit more brittle more better for impact resistance.

You engine looks very nice. Good job.

I sold that tank and got a XL500 one and put that on instead from one of my lads mates for a case of beer
It now looks like this.

I am just putting a flatside on it and it will be good to go.
Where about on the Wirral are you?
