Hello everyone,
I´m in the midst of a complete revision of my RD07a´s fork. Everything works sweet and all spare parts (busings, seals etc.) are available on my workbench. Cleaning the fork tube (the upper chrome one, not the lower aluminum tube) from the inside with petrol, I noticed that there is a white plastic ring inside, near the lower end, which is moving with much play and apparently secured by some securing ring. This is apparently a guide for the fork piston. I´ve never heard that anyone replaces this ring - but I think it´s somewhat irritating that the ring is neither shown in the original RD07 manual drawings nor in the Haynes manual.
Anyone has more knowledge about this?
Cheers
Chris
