Life ! What's the bloody point ? For the first time in my 39 years I had bought a nice bike only to have some **** in a car pull out on me ... I'd both headlights on, wearing a high viz jacket, doing the speed limit... GRRRR ... I'd shout if it didn't hurt me ribs.

Not seen the bike yet but have heard it's front is done in ...

Anyone got a good bike friendly lawyer around Derby/Notts/South Yorkshire ??

Grumble grumble bloody cars...

Are you OK? That's the main thing.

Sorry to hear about your accident, are you ok?

Don't know of any lawyers up that neck of the woods unfortunately.

Give Towns Needhams or Irwin mitchells a ring m8. Both will have awesome solictors / barristers. My union The united road transport union use them when we have problems, so I guess they know a bit about accidents and roads etc.

Sorry to hear of your incident mate, hope you're healing quickly?

I was travelling to work yesterday on a bright orange Tiger with both headlights on and a hillbilly in a 4X4 pulled straight out on me on a single track road, slid past the front of him sideways narrowly missing the front corner. 30 yards @ 60mph, no way I was stopping in time, less than a second away from possible carnage. No time to even manouvre.

Feckin hillbilly probably just shook his head and mumbled "bloody bikes"! I didn't stop, one dead hillbilly = jail!

I hope you get well soon mate, hopefully the bike will sort, if no it's always a reason for a new toy!

Take care out there folks, even the safest riders are at risk.

Sorry guys, should have said that I'm ok, 2 ribs possibly broken (xrays don't show ribs apparantly !) and a scuffed elbow with stiches (despite leather etc)... aching but still up and about but I've been given morphine so I shouldn't complain ;)

I went over the bonnet and did a little twirl before crunch landing ... like I say it could have been a lot lot worse ...

Thanks for the tips and well wishes :)

Sorry to hear your news matey

If your a member (or associated member) I suggest you contact the BMF. They have specialist solicitors, infact it might be worth a call even if your not.

Been there done that.
Get well soon.

It's not what anyone likes to hear after an off, but the MAIN thing is that you are OK ('ish)

The bike can be repaired.

Get well soon.

best wishes

Keep saying it....car drivers are blind (even though I am one most of the time) Only got my AT last week...went into the city centre yesterday and on my way back I could see a guy with a country registration number lane hopping...he hopped 3 lanes and nearly hopped into the side of me.... I pulled up beside him and he said sorry... I lost the plot...FAT LOT OF USE SORRY WOULD BE TO BE TO ME IF YOU BROKE MY LEGS. 2 mins later the police pulled him over to one side.... some times there can be justice.

Pyrogyro have a speedy recovery. Best of luck.

glad your feeling better, I always find a decent pint of beer usually helps (although be careful if your taking strong pain meds - ooppps nursey coming out a bit there sorry)

post some piccies when you get your new bike.

Thanks for the nursing Mabel ;)

I've been trying to be a good boy and not to mix ale and meds but hey, it's not easy being good all the time ...

Just got back from Chelmsford an hour or so back :) ribs ok but could not wear a rucksack even unloaded ... stopped and bungeed down ..

Very happy, new @ is white with red/blue, was tanking back with my Hi-Viz jacket on and loads of cars pulled into the second lane for me, very happy :) :)

Imobilzor thing too ... flashy flashy ... I may have to have my grin surgically removed (excuse spelling, ale and meds mix :) )

Take care y'all :) and thanks again for the well wishes ...

Grin On
