Hi there:cheers:,
posted something similar a week ago but no takers:( I`m up for something as long as its not raining cats and dogs.

Either day out or whatever , suppose with 4 days to play with we are sure to get a Dry day.

Hi Tramp saw your post after posting mine. Just seeing if I can get my friend out on his F650 at some point as well. We could do an easy trip up to Portsdown hill view point and burger then a ride around some of the hills roads?

As for weather says 30%-40% chance of rain over the Easter weekend.

Hi , yeh fine with me .

could ride from say Botley across to wickham then upto portsdown via southwick and across the meon valley to Petersfield then back via Meon hut etc. Plenty nice twisty quite roads.

Do you have sat nav as could do a route on the Mapsource , never had a burgger at Portsdown hill , then some would say I`ve never lived:p.

Hi,
Yeh something like that [ I live at Sarisbury Green/warsash]
thought of going hambeldon ,clanfield,Eastmeon, langrish, petersfield. then up A3 before picking up B3006 to Alton then across to basingstoke on A339 and back along the B3046 to Arelsford and then new cheriton to westmeon hut then bach via Bishops waltham and Botley.

Good ride out through the Hampshire countryside on small back roads , depends what time we were meeting up and how many miles you want to do.

The above route is a good day out with say late Breakfast [well for me] at Portsdown hill then a leisurly afternoon out.

will work out the mileage later , and post the route if interested . All depends on were and how far we want to go.

route about 75mls start to finish so a easy days ride with stop off`s

To be honest I’m not up for a long ride out since my knackerd old shoulder can’t take it and neither can my backside with the old seat on the bike. Still waiting to get a replacement so I can get this one fixed with new foam and cover. (The seat not my shoulder)

Also looks like it will only be you and me at present since friend on F650 can’t make it.

Other thought is we could go Forest direction?
Ashurst, Beaulieu,Lymington, Burley

Just posted a link to this with the New Forest crowd to see if we can get a group together.

if youre up for a ride monday and its dry then "im free..."

a route i like to do on a sunny friday afternoon when i leave work is
M27-A3 to petersfield
A272 to winchester/twyford
B3335-B2177-B3035-A32 to wickham
then back on the B2177 up the hill to get a monster burger.
generally quiet, fairly fast roads, about 50mi

or theres rykas cafe at box hill, mostly on the A272 about the best road around here

okay guy`s
No fighting now:angel10: I`m up for either or both:D.

A lot depends on the weather and days,

Grendel -you dont fancy a fast ride or a longish ride so what day you thinking of the Forest?

Davasto- you up for a slowish ride out to the forest or would you prefer the Monday blast [I`ve done the A272 around west meon to death recently but never been over to Rykas:thumb: ] so that would be my prefered route whatever that may entail. A272 acroos country I think maybe some of the Hastings Crowd are out and about.

Are the Bournmouth lads up for the forest?

now to do we sunshine dance:sunny::sunny::toothy4:

Must admit I’m not keen of wet riding either since I get enough of it commuting to work so I know where you’re coming from. As for location not really bothered and Monday sounds like the best day since there will be more of us.
But just bear in mind being a bank holiday most places will be a slowish ride due to all the tourists.

So really it looks like it all depend on the Weather.

Predicted forcast say 30% chance of rain the rest of the week including Monday. But wont know untill closer to the time.

Never know i may even wash the bike before we go out since it's still covered in winter crud and ACF 50 at present :D

I have been watching this with interest as I am at my folks, with my son, at the weekend and was seeing if your plans fitted in. I'd pop out to meet up either Sunday or Monday if only for a short burst.

Butt...... I'll be Wickham/Bishops Waltham area so if on Monday, you fancy a ride up to Rykas, I can certainly take you some scenic routes. We'll need to do a bit of A roads but I know some great routes near Rykas that would be a lot of fun.

I'd ride past that cafe that used to be a little chef anyway (is it Loomies?) so could meet people there.

After Rykas, I'd head back into London, so you would need to make your own way home.

Hi whealie,
second what Grendel say about the weather, will seem what the forcast says on saturday :toothy2: or :sunny: . do you have access to the site at your parnets over the weekend or have you got your "all dancing phone";) what time were you thinking of heading back to London?
