The British Motorcyclist Federation (BMF) has launched an online poll to find what bugs bikers so it can prioritise its Rider Active Campaigning. Members will get a questionnaire in the post but all bikers can fill in the online survey.

Rider Active is meant to involve motorcyclists in tackling common issues adversely affecting motorcycling safety and enjoyment. A What’s Bugging You? survey at its stand at the International Motorcycle Show drew up a massive list of complaints. The survey allows bikers to pick their concerns.

The BMF will focus on four areas only – set buy the survey – and will construct an action plan to deal with them.

The survey will also be carried in the BMF’s re-launched Motorcycle Rider magazine published later this month (the BMF recently gave the contract for publishing its magazine to the Archant newspaper group).

Chris Hodder, the BMF’s government relations executive said: “This represents a new way of working for the BMF, empowering local riders and putting the resources of the BMF in their hands. In this way we will be addressing the issues that they really care about.”

BMF Survey
Just filled in the questionnaire, hardly worth it there was only a few questions about local areas, doesn't matter how many surveys you fill in, on abike you still have to be 500% more alery and vigilent than anybody driving around in a tin box

just done it too. 3 questions:

1. How attentive are car drivers in your area? (multi choice of 4 from very attentive to they might as well drive blindfold)

2. Free text to describe what causes drivers to be inattentive in your area (well there's a leading question if I ever saw one)

3. Which area do you live in - multi choice.

In the free text bit I said it was a rubbish survey and won't be taken seriously by anyone in authority due to its low quality.

Don't bother.

We would need our Jedi mind reading powers to truly answer that one, but seriously it's drivers who 'let' themselves be distracted by things that's the issue.
