Hiya Karl. What size (normal) shoe do you take and what's the fitting of these like? I know that Italian boots come up small.

WoW...uk 13 your wife must be happy ;)

Iv'e always struggled with boots and shoes and I'm merely a uk 11. I feel your pain. My Gaerne boots are a snug fit and are labelled as uk 13 which is why I asked.

How hard can it be to standardise sizing, after all a kg is a kg wherever you are!

Thanks anyway. Good luck

I had the same with SIDI boots,i'm a UK 9 and so bought a UK 10.5 online and they were tight and i made the mistake of wearing them a couple of times hoping they'd give but they didn't and cos i'd worn them couldn't send them back.Bought a pair of UK 10 Forma Adventure boots and they have got to be the most comfortable boots i've ever had.

I was gutted as i really liked the SIDI's,i think they are more suited to people with normal to narrow feet but i need a slightly wider fitting,i sold them to a mate of mine who was a 9 and they fitted him fine. The Forma's are like wearing an old pair of slippers.:)

For those that struggle getting the right size boot have a look at altberg boots in Richmond north yorkshire, they do 4-5 width fittings and the boots go up in half sizes, you can also have your boot made specially for you but these aren't cheap,I bought the roadrunners boots £210 ish they look like daytona boots, they are very comfy and warm and waterproof, they have done around 30.000 mils in mostly dry weather and look like new still,a noth yorkshire bike copper put me on to them.

Altberg boots have been on my radar for a while. Think I'm going to have a measure up!
