Cal Crutchlow has now become Britain’s first premier class (MotoGP) race winner since late legend Barry Sheene in 1981.


After the race on Sunday evening, or on Monday morning … no mention at all of this sporting achievement on British Radio 4.

It did feature on BBC though not highly as Olympics saturated media sports coverage - probably not helped that it is hidden away on pay channel

Or we're a minority sport which none of the terrestrial channels have live rights to so there's no "sell on" to get us watching the next event they screen.
