Hi looking for advice, starting the rebuild and was looking at adding a waterproofing element to all connections , what if anything do you use, local parts shop recommend a silicone grease

I use Dow Corning DC4 Silicone Compound

Indeed DC4 is good stuff. You don't happen to work in aviation? ;)
