My CRF1000L is now out of warranty so kicking dealer servicing into touch :p
Having just clocked 16000 miles a valve check was due (££££££££).
So I reviewed the Honda Service Manual - pretty poor, watched some YouTube videos and then came across
a fantastic service manual from Marks Motorcycle Parts.

https://www.marksmotorcycleparts.co.uk/product-page/honda-crf1000-africa-twin-service-manual

The manual is very detailed and organised into major services and common tasks. All torque settings, tools required
are there ready to crack on with the job at hand.
It does not cover major engine overhaul but then again how many owners would do that to a CRF1000L?
At £20 plus postage - get one !

I've just completed the valve check - two inlet valves were loose (0.20 & 0.21) so had to pull the camshaft to change shims.
Bike is back together and running. The money saved is going on a new set of panniers !

Happy home servicing :toothy8:

Just wade in and take your time. Can't stress how useful that manual is.
Honda says move radiators out of the way; Mark says remove radiators - Mark's correct !!
If you need any advice let me know.
