Now I've fitted my Dakar graphics kit I wanted to make a CRf450 Rally type screen and lights. So bought a sheet of 4mm Lexan and lights. Together with a cheap pair of handle bars and extra bar stays I now have finished my conversion. May not be to everyone's taste but I wanted to recreate the look of the Dakar CrF450 Rally.

Cheers Peter, maybe but so difficult to bend being 4mm, if I did anymore I would use either 2 or 3mm.

Making the mounting brackets was the easy bit!!

Try heating it gently and evenly in the oven first

Ingenious way of fixing, very neat.
When heating lexan of Perspex warm slowly to get and moisture out of the plastic ( I know that sounds weird) gas mark 2 I think it is, lower part of the oven, been a while since I did the same bending jobby.
I made a curved aluminium former and rested the materiel on the top, put in the oven and just waited until it followed the former.
