As promised here are a few pictures from my weekend excursion into the Yorkshire Dales. I took the long way down going by Keilder, Hexam then on to Blanchland and Stanhope.
The road over Stanhope moor from Blanchland.

From Stanhope I nipped up to Alston.
Alston station.

Then on to Middleton in Teesdale and round by this place, well, I was in the area so had to visit.;)

A couple of views of the Buttertub pass.

One looking down the valley, top left you can just see the road and if you fall off the edge it's a loooong way down!:(

And, of course, the tubs. Standing on the edges taking pics makes your bum tighten up as they are a bit deeper than they look.

I forget where this was, in Yorkshire somewhere.

Looking down the valley towards Muker where I camped for the night.

The campsite which is only a 10 minute walk from the village pub, or 20 minutes on the way back.:thumbright:

A nice weekend out in great weather, only rained for about 10 minutes, sadly that was just after I jumped on the bike to go to the shop.
