Simple, mud on the road is unavoidable but signs should be used, unfortunately they rarely are. Dunno why :confused:

In rural areas be vigilant, keep an eye out for recent or ongoing field work & ride with caution.
As Alan say's, we should all be able to stop within the distance that we can see (but rarely do).

I like the story when you lit that bonfife & courteously warned all the neighbours beforehand of your intentions.

Has everyone calmed down now?

Bloke comes round the corner and sees a warning sign saying "Warning: Mud on road" and then about half a mile further down there they are singing: "That's neat, that's neat, that's neat, that's neat, I really love your tiger feet.":cool:
