Dont know about you but we had some serious rain yesterday! Toss up between the car and bike to go out for the day and i came down on the car side (It was nice then ) Not rain to be on a bike in for sure .
Hi, yes, I was caught in it on Salisbury Plain on a Motorbike (not the @). Even with full gortex on i may have well as gone for a swim in my kit as it had the same effect. Only plus was it was warm rain and not cold rain, but still wet none the less.
Maybe not that rain but some serious rain nonetheless...
It was 30+ degrees a few short hours ago, so I was out in jeans and blow-through summer jacket, started bucketing down all of a sudden while I was stuck on the very very small roads and *****. (Which is no fun at all in a thunderstorm!) Net effect was that I was pretty much soaked to the bone, the roads had turned to fords, and it was damned cold with the wind blowing through my soaked jacket. (And 50 more km to go.)
So then one of the bikes broke down.
(And ofcourse, once we got back to the campsite we found out that they hadn't had much rain at all.)
