Xl600v Ok after about 1 hr of steady riding my water temp rises, sits at about 80 degrees upon hitting traffic after this it will rise up to 105 degrees then fan comes in and lowers temp.
My question are....
1. Is this normal?
2. Do your fans come on?
3. What temp does your alp run at?

generally the 600 transalp temp gauge rarely gets above the halfway mark, except on really hot days, when in traffic

on colder days it sometimes wont move at all

on the 600 transalps i have owned the fan has hardly ever come on, the only time is when sitting in gridlock on a very hot day

i would guess the normal operating temperature is around 50-80 degrees C?

Why would it be 50 - 80 deg. ds99?

Going by the specs. on the list his temps. sound about right?
Or am I missing something.

ds The spec chart you put up states the stat opens between 80 - 84 degrees so that has to be the normal operating engine temp.

So I'm thinking don't fix it if it isn't broke, my TA is not quite standard hence a digital temp sensor which seems to tally up with the spec sheet.
