I'm working on a project with my VTR Firestorm getting some stainless steel split flanges fabricated in a small run. On the VTR v-twin the front pot gets hit by salty spray and heat and the OEM mild steel flange gradually disintergrates. Not helped that Honda set them as non removeable on the header pipes so they can't be readily replaced.

New laser cut stainless steel blanks

and what they'll end up looking like after finishing.

So while I'm at it is there a similar problem with other popular bikes here that could need new corrosion resistant flanges? My local bike breakers is going to give me access to VFRs, CBR Fireblades etc. so I can see which bikes are prone to corrosion and take measurements.

Edit: Found this thread on Dominator Flanges > http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/dominator-fmx/151577-header-flanges.html
