I was at a loose end yesterday so marked out half a dozen lanes in the Hereford area and headed up there on the AT to see if its worth taking the xr up for a ride, took all the back lanes from abergavenny up after checking out the recently opened steam railway near Blaenavon

some fantastic buildings and villages you pass though
Saw this coming onto a junction on the A49 by much Birch

Poor fecker been off on the A49 could'nt see any damage but he was down the coppers were just finishing mopping up the oil when i went through

Anyway found the first few lanes hard packed gravel and quite short so no problem on the AT
This one was a bit more challenging is this the greenest green lane

Moved out towards ledbury and tried a few more around there most were passable on the AT but only because it was dry
This one i'll try on the xr

Had a good day out zig zaging around herefords back roads 190mile round trip although i think most of that was spent going round in circles in Putley Green trying to get my bearings:confused: thanks to the nice lady on the horse for sending me in the right direction
