My AT's on it's third headlight fairing (or 'nose cowling' as the parts book calls it). The first two developed bad cracks around the holes into which the side fairing panels connect. I've kept the old fairings with an eye to trying to repair them and have now, after many years, got a plastic welding kit. The kit comes with various different types of welding 'rods' for polyethylene; polystyrol; polypropylene; and ABS.
The question is......does anyone know what type of plastic the AT's fairing is made from?

No idea .... but many plastic components seem to have markings, possibly to aid recycling, showing the type of plastic used: PP for polyprop, ABS for ABS etc .... along with the date code etc. Maybe worth examining that back of the panel in a strong light.
