thought it was about time my trusty tatty 'alp got some farkles so over Christmas and January the Farkle fairy come up with:

set of Renthal bars in sliver
set of wrap around barkbuster hand guards in black
Oxford heated grips
set of Hella XE micro fogs (yet to be fitted)
new rear number plate
2009 & 2010 XRV member strickers
HEL stainless brakelines (again, yet to be fitted)
12v socket (also, yet to be fitted)

it's already got black excel rims and TKCs fitted so now looks ready for anything (if only the rider were :D) I'm really chuffed with it.

just got to choose a rear fog light now....

and clean up the tatty swing arm, re-seal and re-pack the exhuast, paint the footrest hangers, sort the little oil weep, sort out some stainless bolts etc etc etc...

oh, and continue doing 80 odd miles daily - up and down the foggy, windy M40 :D

pics to follow when I can find the camera!

Hi Doc. I'm interested to know which Renthalls you chose and how much they differ in shape and riding position from the originals. From my viewpoint, I know that the original (very) mild steel ones cannot withstand much of an "off", whereas Renthalls certainly can, but I like the position with the standard bars. A dealer showed me some supposedly "Dakar High" pattern, they were nothing like the originals so your comments would be welcome.
Regards.
