I have two frames that I have inherited as part of a bundle of spares that came with an 80's XL185 I have purchased, I only have a V5 for the complete bike but the other frames have clear frame numbers and the seller states they were complete road registered bikes when he stripped them in the 90's but he dint keep the details as he only needed them for spares.

Is it possible to trace the registration details maybe through an owners club or similar as I would like to build another bike from the spares but first need to check if they are legitimate and not stolen, if they are I am happy to pass the details to the police so they can be dealt with accordingly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
