Very reluctant sale of my 1999 XRV750 Africa Twin RD07a.

I have owned it since 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of riding her. Most of her life has been documented on this site - and supported by the great people who participate here!

BUT....

A young growing family has sadly got in the way and she has to go. I will be very sad to see her go. As well as the bike, I am throwing in everything else, so you can set off into the sun.

56.4K miles

Output shaft is perfect and has been well looked after and maintained.

Blue and silver colour scheme (Honda refer to it as ‘Urban Tiger’) – quite unusual, but a real eye catcher.

Touratech rear pannier mount frames

Touratech Zega panniers with locks and two keys. camping table

Touratech pannier bags with shoulder straps

Honda Givi style top box with two keys and mounting plate.

Oxford expandable tank bag with straps to use as a backpack.

Ram mount Aquabox for GPS/phone

Baglux genuine tank bag correct for this AT colour scheme.

Ricky Cross Engine crash bars.

Micron exhaust – sounds lovely.

Bespoke re-sculptured seat and retrimmed

Starcom intercom set up for phone, iPod, GPS, pillion

12v charging points either side of cockpit/fairing.

Oxford heated grips

OEM Centre stand

Rear storage box behind numberplate (inner tubes and spare clutch and throttle cables)

Original Tool kit

Meta 357TV2 full alarm and immobilizer.

Spare original keys

Facet fuel pump (still have original)

Good continental tyres 1/4 worn.

RomaTech chainguard

Whole box of spares and accumulated bits over the years.

Spare colour matched fuel tank in good condition.

Disc Lock and x2 keys included

Full service history

All original HONDA user manual and service books

Haynes XRV750 manual

Full MOT- till March 2022

V5 in my name

3 former owners from new!

The original engine has been replaced with a 28k known engine from a member on XRV.ORG.UK. The oil sump plug came undone (at 70MPH with pillion) on the old engine and luckily I caught it just intime, but in those split seconds, the bottom end went and although I was amazingly able to ride on with new oil, it survived a few months thereafter. Through the club I was able to find a better replacement….

Amazingly this engine was from the same colour bike and a few numbers apart on the production line from the original. I carried out the engine swap in 2008 and have done 25k trouble free miles to date. I was lucky enough to swap over all the clocks and gauges, so the mileage is true to the engine. The bike has been dry stored for the past 8 years and after a carb strip down and rebuild, full fluid changeover, she is back on the road for someone else to now enjoy.

I am including my (34w)Heine Gericke leathers,(L) Lewis Cordura jacket and (UK10) off road boots which all colour match the bike.

I have a whole library of images which I can share by DropBox to those intrested
Please no time wasters. The bike is priced to sell at £4,500.

The bike is 22 years old now and IMHO is in very good condition, but does have the odd scrape and scratch. I would happily ride to Africa on it tomorrow if I could.
PLEASE PM ME FOR DETAILS - Bike is located in Hampshire, close to Portsmouth.

I remember this bike - and you R0vers, of course - from the old xrv.org days, and sorry to see you have to part with it. I'd be very interested if I didn't already have three AT's. Nice to see it still has the Longest Day sticker!
GLWS, and hope it goes to a proper XRV enthusiast at what seems a very decent price. In fact, with all those extras and spares I think it's a bit underpriced!

Hey Steinberg,

Good to hear from you.

I think it’s a very fair price as a package, but really its priced to go to someone who understand these bikes and has as much enjoyment as I have had with her.

I’ve now reluctantly put the bike on Ebay…..

Take care
