Ok so over the last 4 years and 30k this time of year the old girl runs about 55-65 degree according to me RR KATO digi temp sensor to the point were i cover the rads up to get it to around 80 in winter.

Now all of a sudden it upto 80-90 degrees with nothing covering the rads :???:

Now the oil is ok and level its full of water/antifree mix and no water leaks so WTF is going on does the water pump impeller come off like on some VW's ....

I need to try my heat temp gun just to check the sensor is correct as well ...

Have you tested the thermostat? and that coolant is moving. Is the radiator clean and not clogged up?

Not yet no , were is the stat on the AT .... :thumbup:

Oh boy are you in for a treat............not! It's jammed behind the headstock under the fuel tank, air filter, and ignition coil even when you've got that lot off you can't get in their easily. Good luck.

YEP ! AND ABOUT 4" INCH'ES DOWN THERE...A bit awkward to get at...but i managed it with my gorilla size mitts on my old Transalp, so i reckon you should give it a shot, but when you get your mitts down there it's more feel'y than see'y. ..Also be aware it has a rubber " O " ring gasket seal
