Had one of those unexpectedly good rides today, discovering a brilliant road for 'adventure' bikes I'd previously ignored many times (enjoyment possibly intensified by it also being my first head-ache free ride in years; refer_post_40_here).
Basic route was up past Knockhill to Glen Devon, Crieff, Sma' Glen to Amulree. The un-classified road then turns west for Kenmore, and it's very similar to the Wrynose / Hardknott area roads, with a great pass over to Kenmore, steep hairpins & all -

Taking a left at Kenmore takes you along the south edge of Loch Tay, which again is un-classified, tight & twisty, with great views

The road ends up in Killin, which, besides having the magnificent Falls of Dochart, also has 'The Wee Bake Shop', that genuinely sell the countries best pies - 4 steak for me!

If you're in the area, especially on a good day, the Amulree - Kenmore road is definitely worth the diversion. Proper mountain pass atmos.

Cracking area, I've only done the Glen Devon on four wheels, but ideal for two.
Missed the pie shop, a good excuse to return
