He entertained me more than anything in my youth.

I go back as far a Torchy the Battery Boy, then Supercar and Fireball XL5 etc.
I get strange looks when I mention these. I must be old.

RIP, will be missed.

Spent far too many hours watching his work as a kid. I still like watching the re-runs now, guess I have never grown up.

RIP Gerry


Edit Just found out Space 1999 was one more of his creations, loved that program.

Not forgetting he gave me my alter-ego as Parker the chauffer. :icon_smile:

Bloody hell, this is the first I've heard of this sad news (not had tv on for ages) :(

If it wasn't for Gerry my childhood would have been utter boredom... I was only watching Space 1999 on Youtube a few days ago... I've seen all those UKTiffy has mentioned, and still watch them as an adult.. RIP Gerry, you were indeed the best programme maker of all...:(
