Hi everyone.
I returned to biking in late 2008, after a 20 year layoff, and bought a Transalp 650v2 on a 53 plate.

After a few teething problems, it's now the best bike I've owned, but I'd forgotten just how inconsiderant some drivers can be.

There's nothing worse than trying to take a roundabout with someone hanging on to your mudflaps!

Welcome to the forum.
The Transalp is a nice bike, as for inconsiderate drivers I had one try and pin me to a lorry on the way to lowestoft.

Hello and welcome ArdG :) I do hope its not your intention to make a list of all the inconsiderate drivers you'll encounter, the paper and ink will cost you a small fortune :-( Happy riding on your m/cycle.

Learning to ride before learning to drive has stood me in good stead.
Makes you more aware of other road users.

Was taught that the only way to survive was to act as though everyone on the road was out to get you, and to ride defensively.

I still find myself making shoulder checks when in a car, because it doesn't matter how good your mirrors are, they will always have blind-spots.
