just saying hi
have had my At for 4 years its a 1996 red & white job its had 3 owners has done 24000 miles
8 weeks ago it started rateling (oil starved at some time)
my mate has just rebuild my engine ,con rods,shells,cam chains,oil chain 0.5 over size pistons ect all honda parts ( expensive but i think its best when its the engine)
it was all done sunday so we (try)to start bike up to find the fuel cut off relay has now decided to die !
my mate bridge the connectors with bit of wire to start the pump and she started up (sounds nice to)
does anyone know if there is a aftermarket fuel cut off relay
is it ok to bridge it out with a swich and turn it on before starting bike up?

Congrats with the rebuild :thumbright: always the best plan if funds and time allow

Can't help as I didn't even know these had a cut-off switch for the fuel, is that like a safety feature?

I just assumed all the electrics went dead with the ignition key.

A relay is a big mechanical switch if I'm not mistaken, is it not possible to get a solid state transistor alternative?

I'm sure they do the same thing - low current activates a high current flow.

Weird though, I've never heard the click of a relay when I turn my AT's ignition on, you can hear one clear as anything when you flash high beam.

it looks that way in the manual but i e -mail dave silver and
36100-MG7-008, number is correct - to order from Honda @ £48.72. + vat +post
i dont know why model (T) is more , just my luck
im not risking geting (p) it might work but if not will cost me again
