some Insurance firms tend to get a buit jumpy with replica colour schemes, some dont - but all im saying is that you might want to check first......

I know this because I built a Camel Trophy replica landrover - and so when i informed them that it had changed colour they wanted to know what colour it was - i told them it was yellow - and then they wanted colour photographs -...... ended up that the insurance went through the roof, due to the "replica" colour scheme!!

thing is the bike is currently registered as white as the other colours are decals, so I dont need to change the color on the logbook. hence no need to tell the insurance company as the color is white but the color scheme is still redi white and blue

Unless youre going to spend a small fortune on decals i wouldnt bother telling them personally (ummmm i'm telling on you ;) ).

Rothmans is a cool paint job - i'm sure you could get the decals to do something very similar :D

as i told you at the weekend Anton, thats what the company I work for do, I have asked and the designers said I would have to take the plastics off so they could make templates, designers also told me usually 200 quid for the set, but will have a harsh word in the bosses ear to see if I can get them at discount hopefully 100% discount

firstly dont inform the insurance company and if its stolen or damaged (and a race rep colour scheme really does attract the thieves!!!) they can legally not pay up as you have 'modified' the bike, also i think they can also take you to court as you have not disclosed the mods and therefor defrauded them!!! remember insurance company's are arses.

also be aware that cigarette sponsorship is now banned in 99% of Europe and running this livery could land you a nice fine or at worse in some countries in Europe get the bike confiscated!!!! it has happened. If you really do want to run the colours then i suggest you change the wording from rothmans to something similar..... and then you cant be touched!

lol i'm with you barry, think the rothmans livery is fantastic on anything... (especially the Porsche 595.:p )...

before you drop the idea speak to a 3rd party insurance company (eg not yours as you dont want to put ideas in there tiny ikkle minds!).. they may make some suggestions, its also worth considering the fact that specialist 'modified' insurance is not always dearer than bog standard, i know several people that save £100's when they switched!

Yes, yes you should.

Mothrans is The Best Colour Scheme By Miles (tm) for a Twinkee and as such looks both authentic and gorgeous.

Do it do it do it do it do it! And post lots of pictures.

Cheers
