Saw this on the news earlier.

A friend of mine had a similar thing - quite a few years ago "to discourage people following too close"!

Those things have been around for years lots of streetfighters had them fitted in the early 90's. If i remember correctly a sparkplug was mounted under the exhaust pipe and a fuel ines runs up the exhaust. It's been a while since i've seen one in the flesh though

diesel injector in the exhaust, they used to do it on hotrods and funny cars back in the 50's

The pictures were taken on the public highway so he was breaking the law.
If it was just for the photo shoot he may be lucky and just get a slap.

When I took a photo of some scrote on the public highway with no lid on a suspected stolen bike, the police were not interested whatsoever. They didn't even want the photos clearly identifying the culprit. Apparently it was too much effort as it's "difficult to catch them".

Obviously it's easier to catch this guy. Somehow I think it would be better if they went after some real criminals rather than wasting their time going after harmless eccentrics. I reckon it was jealousy made them nick him.
