been googling as I am contemplating adding a DR650 to the toy collection, I came across a discussion thread where a guy went on about adding heavier fly wheels as it improved the smoothness of the singles, said he had done this to his AT and that it was the bollocks.. any one heard of this for AT or TA or DR for that matter?

raymo
found it while googling at work ( lunch break honest), cant find it now though

Think it's a fairly common trick, particularly with single cylinder off roaders - less weight for snappier reponse and ultimately higher performance, or more weight for a more manageable throttle and hopefully better traction too...

Never come across anyone that's bothered to do it to multicylinder bikes, but the principle's going to be the same....
