Some of the bulbs have blown and I'm considering replacong them with LEDs - which enables me to pick a colour.

I'm aware that red is least detrimental to night
vision but is also one of the hardest colours for seeing details.

For those of you who went down the coloured road, what colour did you choose and what were your findings?

You don't need to worry about your vision being affected by instrument lights. Blue is my favourite, although red will look black.

I replaced all of them with LEDs to save around 15watts - 'warm white' so the difference isn't noticeable.
[I used eBay item 161873796127].

You may also be interested to replace the 'idiot light' lamps too. They are 'T5' fitting. (NB: the Indicator lamp is reverse polarity when indicating left/right so those LEDs won't work)

I went blue but changed the oil, neutral and side stand light for the color they are but after using the bike all day in the rain i had the oil and neutral light glowing dimly. I did start to look for the problem but i found putting the filament lamps back in fixed it
