In my quest to find a new carb insulator (PART NO-16215MG3306-for reference) my 84 XL600R,I made aluminium part which causes the fuel to evaporate and cutting the motor in traffic because of excess heat.
I obtained some bakelite sheet and made one out of that,with limited results.
I cut out a new one and used the alloy one and the bakelite one together.
seems to work,but by golly the torque has improved and acceleration is most improved.
I have since found,that lenghtening the inlet tract produces a sort of ram effect and a cooler mixture helps combustion.
I am going to try a cooler plug and higher octane petrol.
I thought i would share this...:thumbup::thumbup:
