Just over 500 miles from Calais, so my Garmin says, 9 hrs with Peage and 11 without. But what a nice area to live in.... :thumbright: How high up are you there?

I did it in 8hrs 30min going through ROUEN and about 20euros on the tolls but that was pushing it............. 9hrs sounds about right

Hi phil,
I might be up for this , as I live near to Portsmouth would catch ferry to caen , so only 380miles via le-mans and poitiers etc with overnight crossong each way.

If anyones interested in coming from the "bad lands" [up north]:toothy7: you could kip at my house breaking the long trip up. prob do it over a long weekend:cool:.

it would be a shame to miss some good French/lancastrian home cooking:confused: ps : a nice bottle of cote du rhone Red is my tipple, we could bring some English supplies in return.:blah5::blah5:

just dome a ferry quote via brittany ferries , out thursday night and back monday night recliner each way = £93. or £193 with cabin.
