Whos seen it and what do you think, in fact I may make this a poll. WHo is your favourite.

Mine is Sean COnnery, not too sure about the new film, I think the personality of Bond is unrecognisable to the previous films and I kind of like the old Bond. Great stunts and the rolling of the DB9 was incredible.

Obviously everyone loves Cnnery: suave and debonaire, but a hard nut to crack. I was surprised at how well Brosnan played him; after that old TV series (Saphire and Steel?) I thought he'd be rubbish but he was great in the end. Craig is an excellent Bond; that torture scene had me feeling quite unwell! My mate's wife thought he was dishy.

For me it's a close thing between Craig and Dalton. They both bring Ian Fleming's original sense of toughness to the character. Frankly he was a bit of a thug under the dinner jacket! I've gone for Dalton in the end; top actor too.

If you haven't seen Casino Royale, try it. Forget any preconceptions about Roger Moore-like witty on-liners; this is a gritty movie.

Best Bond line? It's a close thing between
Bond, "I suppose you want me to talk?"
Goldfinger, "No, Mr Bond, I want you to die!"
- and the line in the latest film when he orders a drink. I won't spoil it for those who haven't yet seen the movie but it's a corker!

yup that is a great line and it sums up the new bond to a tee 8) 8)

connery has got to be number one :D

brosnan runs him a close second :D

if daniel craig get to do a few films i think you will see a gradual smoothing down i listend to an interview saying that the new films should be viewed as a seperate entity . they wanted to convey him as a young thuggish character who in later films will get more smooth and cool :D

has to be Pierce for me, just love his sophisticated style ( :love4: and fits the 'ultimate man' bill to the T for me... if you haven't seen The Thomas Crown Affair ('99 remake) then you haven't lived.

next is Sean and then Daniel who will for sure be a fantastic Bond given a script and storyline thats as good as the old ones (hated Casino Royal)...

Although the stunts in Casino Royal were fantastic the DB9 roll is a bit of a let down as i know exactly where in 'down town' Bedfordshire it was shot and not Miami as it was meant to be!

Pierce for king........ :king: :king: :king: :king:

Now I am really surprised, Brosnan is my least favourite Bond yet on the poll he is equal to Connery, Jenna I loved the Thomas Crown affair but didn't rate him as Bond. Connery because you can close your eyes and listen to his sexy voice all day, Roger Moore I though just came across as sleezy.

Daniel Craig was good and the film wasn't bad BUT it did not seem like a Bond film. There were no gadgets, no Q no outragous sexism all of the things that make Bond, Bond.

Daniel Craig for me with Dalton a close second - they are the most like the Bond in the books - bit of a thug and pretty cold underneath the polish!

film is excellent!!

Looks like I'm out on a limb (again  ) but I liked Moore best  He never took things to seriously and got away with the humour better. Next would have to be Connery, but wasn't "British" enough for me. He was too cool, too ruthless. A good "British" hero should have an element of Johnny English about him and Moore did that better :D (IMHO)

I always felt Lazenby was a victim of the story line. In OHMSS Bond gets married but she's killed by the baddies, who get away with it. (There I go, giving away the plot!) I remember leaving the cinema feeling somehow "cheated" out of the usual happy ending. Blame Fleming not Lazenby. I guess he doesn't get any/many votes because he made only one film.

no competition Sean Connery !!! original and best

I imagined when i was a young lad at 16 on my 50cc Honda Camino baby down on my face and built like a stick insect that i was like him and all the girls would be after me, for some very weird reason, it never worked out like that !!!! i still wonder why !!!

Tough one - I think Pierce Brosnan is quality and he really did a good job despite some really weak scripts. And he's Irish! But, saw the new Bond yesterday and really, really enjoyed it: a much darker, brutal edge to it but without loosing the Bond feel.

So I had to go with Craig in the end - Brosnan's one of my favourite actors (anyone seen 'The Matador'? Not a great film but worth it for Brosnan's sleazy hitman alone!) but after his last outing as Bond I thought I'd never been interested in seeing another. But, after seeing Casino Royale I can't wait for more!

'nother Dalton vote here... The cynical bastard type just seemed to fit the bond-world better.

Haven't seen the new one yet though.

I should vote for lazenbury, being an Aussie and all... but much like Craig, I think he was screwed by a bad film.. james Bond married, and crying at the end!!! That is just not on.. I think he did a good job, better then dalton, and i dont like Brosnan could beat up my nan.. and she is 98! Dalton was a good spy.. but just not bond....
The new movie, was just not well done.. it had way to many flaws.. it ignored way to much of the myths already established.. it did not include some of the elements that we all want/need in a bond film.. there was no Q! He did not sleep with anyone until the end. Never did he make the cheezy but great lines after he killed someone... and THE JAMES BOND music did not happen (well it did but barely). The bloody gambling seen went on for way way way too long.. and the chase scenes did not go on long enough. I hope that this film does not effect C.D. chances I think he has what it takes to be the next S.C. but the films better get better...

Rememeber the first time this film was made it was played by peter sellers and woody allen... not exactly your james bond types!!

sorry just my 2 pence

Not the opening credit song .... the classic one the the only that is in all the bonds and only in the closing credits in this one... the only written by Monty Norman .. I would attach a midi of it but i dont know how
