Riders BMW to have a look at the new 800GS adventure.

I was determined not to like it but unfortunately it did look quite good, even allowing for the horrible colour. It's really tall, almost as tall as my ADV so Hudders would be bolloxed.:D Then the rotten sod offered me a stupidly good price for mine.

So test ride monday and who knows maybe another tick/tock?

Mike just blame it on the voices mate.

The 800 is the one to be seen on, I mean Stanblokes got one, Annettes now got one so looks like who's next ?

What colour do they come in ?

motorrad website is saying best id 5.7 l per 100 km = 41.3 mpg, getting 60 mpg is a step change from the expexted...
Are you reading the right figures? Both J and myself average over 47mpg from our 1200 ADVs. I make your figures 50 mpg at 120 km/hr (74mph) and 65 mpg at 55 mph.

My F8GS is really scarce on fuel.
And that is a good thing since the fueltank is a bit on the small size.
I never managed to reach 5.7 l/100 km, not even at high speeds over the Norwegian hills.

Just been down to pidcocks and had a sit on one,

It's a bit taller than the 1150gs but feels a bit more compact.

I definitely prefer it to the new 1200gs

I'm not test riding it as I can't afford one at the moment but it's on the list off bikes to consider when I can.
