seen it happen a few times on the M25 usually when someone cuts infront of the lorry at the last minute and the lorry clips their rear spinning them , loads smoke and even seen a few cars flip over when they reach a slow speed as the lorry hits the brakes.

what I cant understand is how on earth the lorry driver cant see the car:confused: and why the car driver has there brakes on? they are lucky the road is very wet as this would help the car slide.

Even the lorry owners company has refused to comment , ity would be interested to know how old the driver of the lorry was and how long he had been driving that week/day?

SCARY ALL THE SAME

Re: Think BIKE???? Nah, Think CLIO!!!!

That is not an isolated event. Coming from a driver who apparently did the same, he didn't even hear anything or notice any significant difference in the lorrys (new high fronted renault ones) acceleration when he picked up an old dear coming out of a slip road in roadworks. It was the policeman running down the hard shoulder waving his arms whilst attending someone else that got his attention in his mirrors! :(

Cheers m8.

What chance do we bikers stand with drivers like this on the road????
Basically, none!

It makes me think of that foreign advert depicting bikers as bugs coz we got about the same chance of that moron in that truck seeing us on a bike as seeing a fly on the bumber judging by this footage.

Bloody frigthening, new trucks now have a mirror to cover that blind spot, but it does not stop idiots in cars pulling in front of ya,
had a frenchman one day pull out nearly into the front wheel of the truck i was passing him and another on the motorway, i was level with his drivers window when he just started to pull out no signals no mirrors, luckily a blast of the horn stopped him,
if it had been in the uk he would have been on the opposite side of the truck to me and i may not have seen him

The problem is that car drivers cut up lorries and buses and bikes thinking they will get away with it.
Unfortunately if the car gets into a certain position it is invisible to the Lorry driver, hence the shunt along the road.
I hope Motorcyclists pay more attention to large vehicles before cutting them up. I always look for the mirror arrangement on lorries to see if they are right or lefthand drive.

My rule for passing lorries is get past as fast as possible, i never hang about. You see people crawling past them and i can't help but think ffs just get past, your gonna come off second best everytime against one of the big boys on the road so stay well clear and get past as fast as you can.

If you try to cut in front of them then thats your own risk, a risk i'm surely not prepared to take.

I suppose atleast it gave the Clio driver a chance to do her nails and have a chat on her mobile phone??!!!

Was also a fantastic demonstration of saving precious fossil fuels, as there was only one vehicle burning diesel to propel two blind twats along the road!

us lorry drivers have more mirrors than a Pimps bedroom:toothy1: but it still wont stop accidents as the third party maybe asleep or not paying attention. The easiest way to stop the acidents from "foreign" lorries is to ban them from our UK roads.

Have ther loads trans shipped at entry port [creating work] save money and lives on insurance claims and bring down our rates too, Most hgv drivers are responsible drivers , its the few that are pressured by BOSSES to drive when sleepy or just off the ferry.

Was in London the other day with a wide load and you should have seen the idiots trying to cut up the inside, nespite the escort and flashing lights no to mention the HUGE load, but then thats London "buy your licence here"

Rant over going to get my "Yorkie Bar"

What freaks me out is the fact that the car filming is driving alongside the lorry, instead of getting in front of it, putting on the hazards, and slowing it down!
