I assumed it was the jib on the crane or digger that gave it a belt at 60mph...
I was chatting with my son earlier (at Uni doing Civil Engineering) and I said that IMO, the section still standing was a perfect bit of cantilever engineering and was still solid!
Yes impressive a large section remained intact, not sure I would have risked driving under that part as so many people continued to do so until the services blocked that side of the road. Its possible that section could have collapsed at any time.
