Hi guys, I'm about to purchase a new set of mains, I have the old set pressed out but expected there to be markings denoting what they are (i.e. A, B or C)

Does it require getting the micrometers and bore gauges out?

Would appreciate any help,

Joe

The markings are generally on the crank and on the casing not on the bearings themselves. On other bikes I've done, there is a lookup table and the combination of the crank and casing markings tells you what colour shells and corresponding part number you need. I've only got a TA manual so I'm afraid I can't help much with the specifics. Hopefully someone will be along in a minute to look up the info.

The mains are generally fairly robust on these motors. If it's high mileage then do check out the small ends and gudgeon pins as these can wear oval.
