Minor backfires when cold. You get this?

So, rode the TA to my first appointment this morning. Nice ride, nice exhaust note.

I have noticed that, when cold especially, below 3500rpm on the idle circuit, the back cyliner (seemingly just next to my left knee) makes a ffft, ffft sound on a constant throttle.

Do you get this?

I'm thinking that the bike may be a bit lean on the idle circuit after the Arrow restrictor came out.

Whaddya think?

Well, I think I may have found a more likely culprit than the Arrow:

There was a 2mm hole on the under side of the fuel tap vacuum pipe which explains the sucking noise I kept hearing and it explains the lean running. I've cut the pip up to the hole a reconnected it: any more and I'd have a kink in the pipe, but so far the bike is running much better...

heck, the clutch was not even slipping
