These parts:

Are available much cheaper than over the Honda parts counter.

I only found this out after paying Honda £££ for the 'genuine' part.

The Honda part is made by the same company as the ones my Dad grabbed out the back of his van and pays pennies for.

The generic ones are slightly longer but still fit, the way I see it they provide more shock protection as there is more rubber between fairing and chassis, also the ones I were given come with decent washers with a layer of soft material that protect paint and again absorb shock.

Wellnuts are also sometimes referred to as Rawlnuts (because the Rawlplug people make their own version)

For Surrey types, Acorn Fasteners http://www.acornfasteners.co.uk/index.htm sell them along with pretty much every other type of fastener needed on an AT.

Just order 10 5MM well nuts from desmoparts.com - hopefully they do the same job as originals !! I have trouble getting hold of bits from normal outlets as live in the depths of the french :blob:country side!:thumbright:
