Chain tension, I recall reading somewhere that it should be set 7cm below the swing arm on the sidestand. Is this about right?
Oil level, I presume check this with the bike standing upright.

With the bike on centre stand you should be able to just fit a 70mm long piece of wood, tube etc between the lower run of chain and the swing arm at the midway point between the sprockets.

Oil is checked, in my case, with the bike upright and a few minutes after a run when it has settled but is still warm. The oil level will be at the top of the two dipstick marks when warm, a little below if checked cold.

Cheers for that, I thought it looked a bit slack.
Off to adjust it now.
Check it in more than one place to make sure it's not wearing unevenly. A little variation is fine in tension, but anything major and you'll need to get a new chain and sprockets.

Oil figured that.
Had a Haynes manual around the ear from Pa many years back over a similar issue.
Chain and sprockets seem almost new. Will keep an eye on them though.
The bike was owned previously by a forum member, small sticker on the side of the fairing.
