Hi all , looking a bit of advice . After 17000 miles and 16 years , I am looking to replace the front and back sprockets and chain on my fx 650 vigor . I see there are a number of options available with more teeth front and back on sprockets . I am probably going for a DID Vx chain . Anyone any thoughts on. What is best for the bike or should I go for the standard front and back sprockets that Mr Honda had designed for it . Looking to put a Honda sprocket on the front and probably a JT sprocket on the back . Many thanks

You got it right. A genuine front sprocket will protect the splines on the gearbox output shaft (although the JT ones are very good)
Chain-wise don't go too mad, a standard DID O ring will do the job - a Scottoiler is your friend for long chain life.
If you're running standard pipes, air filter and jetting stick with the standard gear ratios.
