Hi all,

I've just aquired a 1998 Dommie that's in great condition for it's age. However it appears to have the original rear tyre still fitted.

It's a very bald Bridgestone R120/90 17-64s that I would like to change for a Avon Distanzia 130/80 17 that a friend has donated.

My question is, will it do the job or should I stick with the original size / make etc.

regards,

Telboy

Free rubber? Get it on there.
Don't think you'll notice any difference with such a small change in size the the Distenzia's a good tyre.
Will soon be putting a 160/60/17 on the back of mine.

I've got a 130 TKC on it right now, and I've had a 130 anakee. No problem either one.

And I know a guy who had a 150 TKC on it. That's too wide for the rim, so it was really round with the knobs sticking out of the side. It fits, barely though. ;-)

Anyway, ditto. Go for it! :)

Hi Telboy, you should be OK with the 130 Distanzia. I use the same as Rubberchicken has been using Michelin Anakee 130-70-17 for the last 6 years.
Richard.
