I've seen one of these in my local bike shop, and it is loverly!!!

I think is about 1994 vintage, but light as a feather with lots of verbal history, done just over 4000 miles, sensible mods etc.

Weighs in at about 140 kg with fuel, 18" rear wheel!!

I sooo want it, am I mad??

I'm facing up to the idea that I'm not about to ride to the south of France, let alone any further for at least 15 years, and this little bike should be a fab UK Rally plaything.

Is this "Shiny new bike" syndrome, will it pass?? (But I do sooooo want it!)

No. My local shop, AGT in Leighton Buzzard has one, selling for customer.

I've been really thinking on this, and as it takes me about 15 mins. to start it in the shop its not the one for me!
I'm sure I will be faster on my TTR anyway, if I was to ride the KTM in the same way I'd be in the trees before the first bend! It would be a wonderful pose on the trails with my mates, but it would never compete in enduros as well as the TTR, and on Rallies I'd be expected to be quick, not just to finish!

AS a matter of academic interest (I'm skint) how much is it going for?

Its up for just under £1500, but by how much I can't remember. Thats pretty close to what you'd pay for an import 250 of similar age/condition.

I recon I'm going to stick with the TA though, its the whole "reliability under pressure" thing. (Touch wood) the TA seems to "survive", no mater what abuse I throw at it.
