Hello all,
When I check the voltage to my speedo, neutral and tail bulb (not brake filament), I get a reading of 8.2 volts to each of these areas while the bike is running and due to the 8.2 voltage, those light bulbs will blow. Upon simply turning on the ign, I get a correct voltage reading for these areas which is around 5.9/6v. This is a 6v system. Turn signals indicators, cluster and the rest of the 6v areas check out fine both when running and when ign is at the on position.
The voltage going to the battery (battery disconnected) while running is 8.2v. The new (and old) regulators check good. Battery is new. Stator checks to 18v running, which I read is normal. Stator shows continuity with multimeter check while ign off.
Problem seems to be after the bike is started.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Dan
