New member question - Hello recently bought a 2008 transalp 650 which I am enjoying riding much more than the GS1100 I just got rid of (too heavy !)
Anyway, wonder if someone can help identify the pannier rack that my bike has fitted from the attached photo. The bike did not come with panniers and I would like to get some, but I have no idea which one's will fit. From googling images, I see that there are a few 650's fitted with these, but I can not find out what make they are and most importantly what panniers might fit them.
Anyone know ???

yep, they are genuine honda ones

they don't often come up for sale second hand

you may be better off getting these...

...and then buying any cheap Givi Monokey cases/boxes, as there are loads on ebay

eg

- i don't think any other panniers will fit those frames you have, apart from genuine honda transalp 650 ones

you might be able to buy other Honda panniers that fit from that era, eg VFR 750, CB500, Blackbird. But.... one of the transalp panniers has a "cut out" for the exhaust, so that might be tricky

i would go the givi route if you want hard luggage, or get some kind of soft panniers to attach to the existing frames while you wait for proper honda ones to appear on ebay

don't forget some parts share the same number. eg the TA 650 low seat has the same part number as the standard seat
