Not the best route - they will need adjusting to true the wheel up and from time to time re-tightening - this may / will cause the coating to crack and that will let the elements do their worst

Better to spray them up and lacquer if needed - wheel silver paint is good and can stand most elements of destruction including brake dust

Never worth the aggro of rebuilding wheels with secondhand spokes i reckon , if they all start snapping a week after the wheel has been rebuilt it will cost you another rebuild , penny wise pound foolish
