Pyrenees May 2004 - Col D'Aubisque. I'll add more if I can work out this uploading business being a computer dunce.

At last - the ride to the top was quicker. Here goes......

Another view - snow drift behind the slug (fat & slow) closing descent

Col Ibanete

On the D934

On the way back - N122 through the Monts Cantal. This area is worth visiting if you haven't got the time to reach the Pyrenees/Alps.

Oradour-sur-Glane just NW of Poitiers. 'Preserved' village after Nazi genocide in 1944. Only 6 peolple survived. Very sobering and worth visiting.

Had to finish on a lighter note.

Don't forget to Recycle.

Cool, or is it Cold ? I passed though in Sept 2003, looks like it was a bit warmer for me, but I didn't venture as high (by the looks of things). The 'Alp was suffering from the thinner air, wasn't pleasant, how'd yours do ?

Not as high as it looks - Col D'Aubisque is only about 1700M so the bike was happy, at least I had it to myself. This was to be the first climb of a max altitude route ending in Andorra. Due to this years' extended winter the eastern side of this and all the other passes were closed - Arse!
