I went for some Big Bike Rally Challenge (BBRC) training today to get me prepared for the first race in April.

And, it was so worth it. I feel so much more confident and managed my aim of learning to drift the bike and power through corners at speed.

Had a great day, and looking forward to the first rally now. I can stongly recommend the rally training even if you are not interested in rallying. To be able to do this feels amazing.

Now that IS something I want to do, where about is it done. I fancy nothing more than spinning up my rear on a long gravel bend:D

Cheers Mike, just this minuite looked on their site but could'nt see a location, had a good idea it would be either Wales or up north somewhere by the scenery!:)

nice vids

Was that guy supposed to use the berm or what? Looks like a result of failing to commit to drifting early enough, happens to me all the time!

Yep, was showing us the 3 main ways of getting round a corner. Drifting is only 1 of them. This was hitting the berm and turning at the last minute. The best one was railing it round.....although this was only shown as its an advanced technique, way past the scopes of the intermediate training day.

Hi wilso..

yep the transalp does that fine..just opposite lock and nail it at 4500rpm and ride the revs..I prefer standing as I can correct with the body ...salisbury plain has some good spots especially at 50mph..but watch out for the hidden "tank washes"....but check the gravel size first otherwise it`s like riding Marbels and the front goes everywhere..
