My brake light isn't working with the front brake. I was hoping a quick clean of the connections at the switch would fix it, but no joy. What else is it that might be the problem. I read one thread where a guy had a broken wire. I'm hoping that isn't what's wrong with mine. Brake light works fine with the rear for now.

I had the same problem last year: I replaced the switch which is just underneath the front brake master cylinder, held in by one screw if I remember correctly. Problem solved and not very expensive. I did check that I had a live feed to the switch beforehand though!!

Nice. Where did you get your switch from?

I removed the switch and took it into a local motorcycle workshop. They compared it with their small stock of spare switches and sold me one for £5. Otherwise, the Honda part number is 35340-MM5-600 and it costs £25. I don't think that you can take them apart, either.
