Somewhere on this expansive site, I'm sure that I've read that the front sprocket from a RD03 @ will fit onto the output shaft of the 600 TA!

I've searched to no avail, hence this post.

Does anyone in the collective expanse of XRV have the knowledge to confirm / dismiss this assumption of mine.

If it does fit, does anyone have the part number for it?

Thanks for sparing the time to read this drivel

Oops, sorry. According to CMSNL the part number you want is 23801-MN8-000.

Have checked with them and the same part number does indeed come up for the XRV650 and VT600C.

Well, thats the change of sprockets & chain done.

Revs in top gear down by 500. Bikes still feels able to pull well in all gears. 1st is still OK for stumbling about off road.
Just need to see how the fuel consumption fares with the different sized front.

All in all, an excellent and easy mod
