Hello Everyone,

I came out to find what appears to be a clear film separating from the tank with water or air trapped underneath, after a night of heavy downpour. The safety stickers appear to be on the outside which suggests that this clear coating is original. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I imagine the clearcoat has been punctured somewhere letting in water. The fuel filler cap doesn't seal completely so when the bike is dropped, it lets out a bit of fuel onto the tank - could this have caused it? I do occasionally ride with a tankbag, but it has a soft touch material on the underside so it shouldnt damage the paint.

Presumably the only fix is to strip the clear coat and apply a new layer? Although I'm not sure how to remove it without damaging the paint underneath. Any tips would much appreciated!
